A cycling cafe that is famous for it's coffee, raspberry brownie, cycling art & epic club jersey - Giro is a must visit on the South West London route out to Surrey Hills.
★★★★★ Coffee
★★★★★ Cake
★★★★★ Bike Friendly
★★★★★ Service
★★★★★ Location

Giro is the template for a perfect bike cafe. When you arrive you'll spot bike racks out front, lot's of outside seating around the side (with a giant tipi cover in winter) and a large glass front soaking up the sunshine. Inside it's all smiles, with exceptional coffee, cakes, pastries and smoothies. Plenty more seating inside and a couple of screens to watch cycling events rounds everything off.
Coffee & Cake
As good as it gets. Flat white is on point, and the cakes are consistently excellent. Millionaire shortbread, lemon drizzle, raspberry brownie and fruity flapjack are all winners. It's so good I often stay for two (especially in the winter).
Bike Friendly?
Giro is actually a lot more than a cafe. The website covers the their Podcasts, Mechanic, YouTube channel, Club and Shop. So rest assured you will be made very welcome on the bike. They also have a pile of Hiplock Z's by the door so you can lock your bike up whilst inside.
Service
Also brilliant. The staff always seem to be having a great time, service is fast and they'll bring it to your table (inside or out).
Location
It's a bit further out of town (about 15km from Richmond Park) but it's bang on all of the main routes out to Surrey. A few km further out is where they all split, so you'll see all sorts of club rides stopping there en-route.
Summary for Giro Cycles
You've probably gathered that we love this place. The consistently excellent service, coffee & food makes it a no brainer. Plus - their white summer jersey is the coolest kit I own.

Quick note on the review process
We either find the cafe's on our cycling adventures, or we're directed to them by friends. From there we rock up on the bike, order coffee, soak up the vibe and speak with the staff. Once we've been there 4/5 times we'll write the review.
